My Math Score has Jumped by 350 Points

Courses: SAT Perfect/SUPER SAT/SAT Private Tutoring
Allison Harrisingh

SAT_Allison Harrisingh.jpgI decided to take classes at Kaplan because, first of all, Kaplan Japan is the only place where I can study for the SAT seriously in English. Also, my parents went to Kaplan in the States and studied the SAT and LSAT so they recommended it. Additionally, all my friends in Japan and the US are taking Kaplan SAT classes.

Kaplan is great, honestly, especially in Japan, because this kind of in-depth study for the test in English cannot be found anywhere else. Before taking lessons at Kaplan, I studied on my own by using several books, but I could not learn small details that Kaplan now helps me with, which really helps my numbers go up. All the Kaplan books and flash cards that I use and all the teachers are really excellent. My math score has improved by 350 points and my other scores have jumped as well.

My future dream is to teach at an elementary school, and I would like to go to a university in the States, perhaps in Washington DC or somewhere on the East coast.

Courses: GMAT Private Tutoring
John Eriksson

GMAT_John Eriksson.jpgI have known Kaplan in America as the number one test prep school in North America for entrance exams. I started thinking about doing an MBA about two years ago, and the first textbooks I bought in Japan were Kaplan books. At the same time, I came to learn that there was Kaplan in Japan but continued to study by myself at home.

After taking my first GMAT test, I realized that I would have to learn from someone to improve my score further. So one day I visited Kaplan Japan to talk with the people and told them what I was planning to do for my future and why I was studying for the MBA. The person listened to me, listened to all my ideas, and then after that, he started to explain every course related to my goal. And yet, he was very objective and didn't recommend all the courses, only the courses suited to my needs. He struck me as a genuine counselor, not a sales person because he was not selling courses but helping me to make a good decision.

I am taking private GMAT lessons, which are excellent, and I am grateful for the continued support by both instructors and all the staff members in Kaplan Japan. They are easy to communicate with and really helpful. I am learning to be a smart test taker, especially in the Math section. The instructors are very good at understanding both my strong and weak points. If I start doing something wrong, they would tell me immediately and correct my way of solving problems.

Through studying for the MBA, I want to brush up my skills as a management consultant so that I can help more companies make right decisions, and later perhaps, I can run my own companies.
