It is with great regret that I announce my resignation from Kaplan this coming January.
Working at Kaplan has been challenging and fun, and in fact, I am not happy to leave. But an opportunity has presented itself to me, and I feel I must take it. I will be developing and implementing an English program for a company here in Tokyo. It is an foreign company which must conduct all its business in English by 2011, and they approached me to help them reach this goal. The challenge was so great that I couldn't pass it up, and therefore made the decision to seize this opportunity. I will do my best.
I have truly enjoyed working at Kaplan these past two years, and will miss all of you. I have had many good experiences in and out of the classroom, and have made some wonderful friends among both students and staff.
I hope that you will all continue as you have been, studying hard to reach your goals, and enjoying the unique community that you have here at Kaplan. I would be really grateful if you would drop me a line once in a while and tell me how things are going. Please contact me anytime.
Once again, thank you for being such great students and co-workers. I will certainly think of you often.
Yours in friendship
