USMLE 試験概要

米国で医療行為を行うためには、アメリカ医師資格試験であるUSMLE（United State Medical Licensing Examination）の合格が必要です。　USMLEはStep1、Step2、Step3から成り立ち、Step1、Step2　に合格後、ECFMGよりCertificationを得ることができます。このECFMGのCertificationによりレジデントとして研修を積むことになります。また、Step3に合格し、正式な医師免許を取得するというのが、米国で医師となる一般的な流れです。Step1が基礎医学、Step2が臨床試験、Step3が症例問題となっています。
2004年には試験制度が大きく変わり、CSA（Clinical Skills Assessment）がClinical Skillsと名称が変更されStep2の中に組み込まれました。出題範囲の広さ、深い理解の必要性から、試験準備には多くの時間をかけていただき、是非頑張って頂きたいと思います。

[Step.1]

基礎医学を主体とした試験。
それぞれは、Anatomy（解剖学）、Microbiology（微生物学）／Immunology（免疫学）、Behavioral Science（行動科学）、Pathology（病理学）、Pharmacology（薬理学）、Physiology（生理学）、Biochemistry（生化学）など。

[Step.2]

CK（Clinical Knowledge）、CS（Clinical Skills）に分かれる。
CKは、臨床医学を主体とした試験で、Internal Medicine、Obstetrics and Gynecology、 Pediatrics、Preventive Medicine、Psychiatry、Surgeryなど。
CSでは、模擬患者を使った実地試験を行う。Integrated Clinical Encounter、Communication and Interpersonal Skills、Spoken English Proficiency の3要素から成り、問診を含め、患者への対応の仕方、鑑別診断、Patient noteの作成、英語力などを総合的に判断する。

[Step.3]

Clinical Encounter Frames（臨床遭遇場面）よりInitial Care、Continued Care、Emergency Careなど。Physician tasks(医師の職務)より臨床を含む患者への対処方法、病歴、診断、予防医学などが主体となる。

NCLEX 試験概要

The NCLEX-RN® Exam / The CGFNS Qualifying Exam®概要 The NCLEX-RN® Exam（以下、NCLEX）はアメリカの看護師資格試験で、アメリカで看護師として働くために合格が条件となります。アメリカ以外で看護教育を受けている看護師がNCLEX受験をする場合は、別途The CGFNS Qualifying Exam®（以下、CGFNS）に合格し、CGFNS certificateを取得する必要があります（州によっては必要としません）。NCLEXはコンピューター試験で、受験者の正答に従い難易度が変化するCAT形式が導入されています。問題数は正答率によって異なり、75問～265問出題され、最長6時間かかります。結果はスコアではなく合否判定で、非公式な結果は受験終了の48時間後にウェブサイトで確認可能（有料）。正式な結果は約１ヶ月後に郵送されます。
CGFNSはインターネット試験で所要時間は約3時間。スコアは受験後約2週間後、オンラインで知らされます。合格は400以上。毎年3月、7月、9月、11月の各月に5日間の受験日が設定されています。また、合格には指定の英語力証明試験を受験し、2年以内に条件となるスコア（TOEFL®iBT：83以上、TOEIC®：725以上等）を提出する必要があります。
いずれの試験も日本で受験可能。

NBDE 試験概要

[Part I]

The National Board Dental Examination Part I (NBDE I*) is a one-day examination administered twice a year, usually in July and December. Starting May 2004, Part I will also be available year-round on computer. Most students usually take Part I after they've completed two years of dental school. The administration of the test is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Each session is approximately 4 hours long and consists of 2 tests of approximately 100 questions each. The entire day will contain 4 tests, with approximately 400 total questions. The test is entirely composed of multiple choice questions, each with 3-5 possible answer choices. Questions are taken from a wide variety of topical areas, including Microbiology and Pathology (100 questions); Anatomic Sciences (100 questions); Biochemistry and Physiology (100 questions); and Dental Anatomy and Occlusion (100 questions).

[Part II]

The National Board Dental Examination Part II (NBDE II*) is a two-day examination administered twice a year, usually in late March/early April and December. The test is also offered year-round on computer. Most students take the exam in their final year of dental school. To be eligible, students must have passed the NBDE Part 1. The first day is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Each session is approximately 4 hours long and consists of 200 questions each. These questions are taken from a wide range of topics, including Operative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Orthdontics, Oral Surgery, Pharmacology, and more. The second day consists of a morning session with approximately 100 questions divided among a group of case studies. The case studies represent patients with a medical history, dental history, charts, x-rays, models, photographs, etc. Questions are centered on appropriate premedication, treatment, patient management or social aspects of patient treatment.
